Greece Updates myDATA Technical Specifications: Key Changes in Version 1.0.10

The Greek Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has released an updated version of the myDATA technical specifications (Version 1.0.10). Now accessible in the myDATA Test Environment, this update introduces several changes designed to enhance the efficiency and flexibility of Greece’s digital tax reporting system.

These changes reflect AADE’s ongoing commitment to streamlining compliance processes for businesses operating in Greece.

What’s New in Version 1.0.10?

The latest update to myDATA introduces several significant improvements, expanding its functionality and addressing feedback from prior versions. Here are the key updates:

  1. Fuel Invoices Submission via ERP
Businesses can now transmit fuel invoices (liquid fuel sales) directly through their ERP systems, a feature previously restricted to transmission via e-invoicing service providers.
  1. Removal of Wholesale Control
The control requiring wholesale transaction recipients to be active businesses has been removed, simplifying the process for companies engaged in wholesale operations.
  1. Support for Delivery Notes
Transmission of document type 9.3 (e-transport/delivery note) is now supported through both ERP channels and e-invoicing service providers. This addition facilitates compliance with delivery documentation requirements.
  1. New Method for Retrieving E3 Records
Businesses now have an additional option for retrieving E3 records (data related to the Greek E3 tax form). This can be done for individual invoices or via a daily summary, improving flexibility in data retrieval.
  1. Past Dispatch Dates for Transmission Failures
In cases of transmissions marked with “transmissionfailure,” businesses can now use a past date for the “dispatchdate” field, allowing for more accurate reporting when delays occur.

Impact on Businesses

The new version of myDATA offers greater flexibility and efficiency for businesses operating in Greece.

Here’s what these updates mean:

  • Streamlined Fuel Invoice Submission: Companies in the fuel sector can now integrate their ERP systems directly with myDATA, reducing reliance on third-party e-invoicing providers.
  • Simplified Wholesale Transactions: The removal of recipient controls eliminates a common bottleneck in the wholesale transaction process.
  • Enhanced Delivery Compliance: With the addition of delivery note support, businesses can now ensure their transport documentation is fully compliant with digital tax requirements.
  • Improved Data Management: New options for retrieving E3 records simplify tax form data handling, saving time and reducing errors.
  • Accurate Reporting for Failed Transmissions: The ability to backdate dispatch dates ensures compliance even when transmission issues arise.

Preparing for Compliance with Version 1.0.10

To ensure compliance with the updated myDATA specifications, businesses should:

  1. Update ERP Systems: Verify that your ERP system supports the new fuel invoice and delivery note transmission functionalities.
  1. Review Wholesale Processes: Take advantage of the simplified wholesale transaction process to streamline reporting.
  1. Leverage New E3 Record Options: Utilize the added flexibility for retrieving E3 records to optimize tax data management.
  1. Plan for Transmission Failures: Adjust processes to accommodate the new backdating capabilities for dispatch dates.

The myDATA Version 1.0.10 update introduces meaningful enhancements to Greece’s digital tax ecosystem. By expanding ERP integration, simplifying compliance, and offering new data management options, AADE continues to support businesses in navigating tax reporting requirements.
